SPECIFICATIONS

13.5 Medium Bearing & Linkage Synthetic Lubricant

  • HET1: Light piston oil - possibly the best oil for newer horns or horns with Monel valves. If your valves are hanging up after you oil them with another product, switch to this.
HET10N: Synthetic grease syringe style - a heavy grease in a syringe applicator, for use on various parts to keep them moving properly.
HET11N: Light Rotor oil - Long lasting synthetic oil formulated specifically for new instruments. Has a precision needle oiler.
HET12N: Rotor oil - For standard rotary valve that do not have too much wear. Comes in a precision needle oiler.
HET13N: Light bearing oil - for newer horns with tight rotor bearing areas. Comes in a precision needle oiler.
HET13.5N: Medium Bearing & Linkage - This heavier formulation works well for spherical rod end bearings ( "Minibal" or "Unibal") linkage joints, cross joints and lever hinges.
HET14N: Bearing and Lever oil - for paddle pivot points and lever bearings to help keep them clean and moving quickly.
HET15: Ball Joint oil - specifically designed for valve linkage bearings like miniball linkage bearings or other styles of bearings.
HET2: Standard piston oil - works well with all brands and types of piston valves once you are past the "break-in period".
HET20A: Spray Applicator Bottle for the Hydro-Slide lubricant.
HET20C: Hydro-Slide Trombone Slide Lubricant - a sprayed on solution mixed from concentrate to meet your specific tastes in trombone slide speed.
HET3: Classic piston oil - for horns with a little mileage on them. Slightly thicker to help seal any gaps that may be present due to wear over time.
HET4N: Light tuning slide oil - for tight slides or ones that you need to be able to adjust smoothly and easily "on-the-fly".
HET5N: Tuning slide oil - a thicker version of slide oil for tuning slides that need to be able to be moved, yet must also stay in place once put into proper position.
HET6N: Heavy tuning slide oil - for older horns or horns with loose slides. This oil helps keep those pesky slides from moving on you while you play. Will not break down as it gets warmer.
HET7N: Heavy bodied tuning slide oil - comes with brush cap applicator for tuning slides
    HET8N: Slide grease
HET9N: Ultra slide grease - Extra heavy for loose slides
HETHBB: Brass Brite Aerosol Degreaser - For maintenance and cleaning of metal parts; dissolves other valve oils to clean the surfaces; removes lapping compounds and lubricants; contains no fluorocarbons

Comments about Hetman 13.5 Medium Bearing & Linkage Synthetic Lubricant:

I travel all across the US and Europe. At times I have had a real problem with my valves sticking or getting 'gummed up'. Since I started using the Hetman Light Piston 1, I have not had this problem. I appreciate your staff helping me in recommending this oil to me the last time I was in your area.

Comments about Hetman 13.5 Medium Bearing & Linkage Synthetic Lubricant:

I have a 70 yr old tuba. Always had problems with valves sticking and dragging until a repairman told me about Hetman #3 classic. Now I rarely have troubles with my valves, and the stuff has incredible staying power. I can get by with oiling about once a week as opposed to every time I play.

I use this oil on all of my horns , from jazz gigs on my Bach Bb, to orchestral concerts on my Yamaha C, to chamber concerts on my Schilke pic. By far, the best valve oil I've ever used.

Comments about Hetman 13.5 Medium Bearing & Linkage Synthetic Lubricant:

The #1 light piston oil works wonders on tight valves like on my new Marcinkiewicz. Thicker oils make the valves much slower.

This stuff is the best

Comments about Hetman 13.5 Medium Bearing & Linkage Synthetic Lubricant:

This stuff is excellent. I can go weeks without oiling my valves and they'll still be smooth. Hetman smells good, is less corrosive and is not prone to problems with changes in the weather. I have already switched 2 of my friends to this stuff and they can't agree more. I am a big fan of WWBW and they are very helpful when it comes to asking questions. Thank you very much

Comments about Hetman 13.5 Medium Bearing & Linkage Synthetic Lubricant:

I've been using classic piston oil #3 on my Getzen trumpet and piston oil #2 on my Bach Strad, Getzen picc and flugal, and light bearing oil on both my Conn 6d and my King eroica, and heavy bodied slide oil on all for about three years now. These are the best lubes I've ever used. In particular my strad has always been a little slow in comparison to my Getzen. This oil has sped it up considerably and makes the valves respond in a way that makes my fingers feel great. Classic #3 on the Getzen reduces the drag I feel on really continuous valve work like Arban's characteristic study #13.When somebody complains about a sticky strad, I give them a bottle of hetman#2!

Comments about Hetman 13.5 Medium Bearing & Linkage Synthetic Lubricant:

My trumpet is 42 years old now and #3 Hetman Classic works wonder on this old gal. Valve action is superb and doesn't gum up or slow down as before when I used other type of oils. It really is for old horns!

The Best Ever

Comments about Hetman 13.5 Medium Bearing & Linkage Synthetic Lubricant:

This stuff is the best ever. I have a Bach Strad 37 and the Light Piston Oil works well. My valves are the fastest I've ever seen them. The Light Slide oil for the 1st and 3rd Slides is an awesome product as well. I used to use slide grease and oil, but I was never satisfied with the way the speed was. The Light Slide oil instantly solved that issue. As soon as I put it on, they were smooth, fast, and most importantly they don't hang up! I don't care for the dropper that comes with it though, but I'm hooked on Hetmans!

Excellent Options for French Horns

Comments about Hetman 13.5 Medium Bearing & Linkage Synthetic Lubricant:

I have been using various Hetman oil products for sometime on a number of my instruments and giving it to many of my students at UCLA for various types of Horns. It works very well in all cases and has been especially excellent on my Patterson Custom Horns. I have found that the valves seem much more free and easy and the lubrication lasts quite a bit longer. Additionally, there seems to be less valve corrosion with the regular use of this oil. I have used Hetman 11, 12, 13 and 14.
