Great bass for the price, BIG upgrade from my Fender 5

I have played just about every bass out there either on a stage or in a studio. I got out of the game for a little while, took care of family, "regular" job, etc. I had an inexpensive, yet impressive in its own right, Fender Squire 70s Modified 5-String Jazz Bass. Long story short, I wanted to upgrade the pups and couldn't find any that would fit. So, time to find a replacement bass... I've always loved Ibanez, specifically SRs, having owned an Ibanez SR406 6-string bass some years ago. Ibanez is where I started my search, and I ended my search with this bass. Great tone woods, the 3-band EQ is tuned nicely, the CAP pickups are radiused to match the fingerboard giving great string to string evenness in the tone, beautiful quilt top, sexy sculpted mahogany body... This bass really should cost much more. I've been playing professionally for some time, and the Ibanez SR405QM is where its at for the best value in (tone, looks, features, playability) to price. Versitile, too. I play studio sessions with any kind of music on any given session. I'm the bassist in a country band. This guitar's tonal characteristics are even tone with thicker mids from the mahogany body. Round bottom, thick middle, crisp and clean top.
