"Blistered Hands No Longer!"

8 Years on Euphonium Symphonic Wind Southern Illinois

I have played Euphonium since I was a lad in Fifth Grade. I lived about half a mile from the school, so I walked home every day. In order to practice, I had to lug the huge wooden case containing the large, dented, rusted, spotted, bell-front horn that was provided by our school's gracious funding. I would get calluses and friction burn. It was a true pain. Up until just recently, I have been dragging around my large wooden cased instruments, though the quality of the instrument greatly increased and the length of walk decreased. When this package arrived, I quickly tried it out with my somewhat hefty Olds Bell-Up, Four-Valve Pro Euphonium. I found that the backpack straps were extremely comfortable. However, the handles were a bit tough on the hands. I also greatly appreciated the side pocket great for holding music with a few notches for pencils, a tuner and metronome. It was so spacious, I could fit my Arban Method Book, AND my Clark Studies in at the same time! So, if you find yourself bothered by the small pains in life and can take blistered hands no longer, order this product immediately.

"Not Good For Protection"

I got this case with anticipation about how much easier it would be to lug around my Euphonium. With the the backpack straps, the shoulder strap, and the lighter material used to make the case, this was certainly the case. However, except for the meager protection offered to the bell, my euphonium was left fairly unprotected, certainly more than I would have chosen. Also, after two years of using this case, while I was carrying it, the metal clips on the shoulder straps snapped right off, allowing my Euphonium to fall to the ground and, due the lack of protection, receiving at least minor injuries in the process. If your looking for easy transport on your back, this is a great case, but if you have any reason to protect your instrument consider dealing with a heavier case.

Such an improvement over the musty old hard-sided case. Fully protective, but lighter and more manageable. Wondered if backpack-style straps would really be useful--they are!
