Comments about Seagull Entourage Rustic CW QIT Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

After the new honeymoon time, i can not recomend this unit. It starts at the first string change. I had ashed seagull to provide a build date giveing serial # the reply said they had no way of knowing it or anything about the unit. See, I cant find the raised hole area in sound hole as claimed on seagull site. Once you change strings, you will notice very bad oversize holes for tone pins. see fretnot.com site for shot bridge pin fixes for this. the holes were over size on both soundboard and bridge, not noticed till string change.Dont use smaller than 12's or bridge buzz. pins fly out alot. after 10 sets of strings, still looking for compatable ones. stock are junk. another big company unloads scrap guitars as new, plays dumb. this should never left the shop. countersinks on bridge way oversize. i am tired of returning things, i want to keep what i buy, i am to embarased to ship back. this hurts seller and end buyer. i have a vast background in both metal and woodworking, been around guitars 40+years, so i am qualified to speek on qc of factory made items and product dumping. this is my opinion, dont buy, pretty sound goes away, headaches come, stringchange is average of 2 hours. pins keep flying out. fretnot site gives ideas to fix, may instal toneplate repair later when i cool down. tried new pins, still fly, reoccureing bridge buzz open and fretted. with all the nice fret work, why put bad stuff at bridge. my opinion is overdrilled soundboards and bridges piled up, use them, someone elses trouble. i may leave acoustic part of guitars because of this. by chinese, thier bridges are proper size. this has happened to many times, scares new players away. the arts suffer enough without this problem. i googled the unit recently and found many with same issue, did not see them when purchase was made, did look. i will not buy another seagull or affiliated product, nor will i recomend them. I am not going crawling back to manufacture on this, they more than likely know that the problem was there. I AM EMBARASED!

Comments about Seagull Entourage Rustic CW QIT Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

there is much to love here. although i and those who have seen it say that it should have been done in gloss instead of semi gloss, don't let that bug you. it has a very flat fretboard, so if you like radiused ones, keep this in mind. the fretwork is fantastic. it has superb finishing inside and surgically clean there. a professional drummer looked inside at the interior grain and compaired it to his mega price drum kit's finish. no loose wires. out of box decent setup, i tried eveyy fret, no buzz at att. factory strings a bit heavy, unpluged it is amazeing, the sustain is great and has a unique chimeing quality. i love it! plugged in it's nice, but there could be a benefit to adding a mid because it comes with only treb, bass, volume. not a deal breaker though. a bit pricey, but play it and you will love it. super sound. over all, i was pleased with the guitar. i let a few who left guitar because of small hands play and they may pick it back up, the slim neck made that much of a difference to them. buy it, you won't be sorry!!
