Sony’s MDR-MV1 open-back reference monitor headphones support mixing and mastering of immersive/spatial and stereo sound with high-resolution capability. They have a frequency response from 5Hz–80 kHz, with superbly accurate high-resolution and well-balanced sound, nearly identical to a speaker-based production environment. With a carefully tuned open-back acoustic structure, the Sony open back reference monitor headphones do not generate inherent reflected sound within the housing. Therefore, these Sony headphones are optimal for spatial and stereo sound signal processing. They accurately reproduce the reverberant characteristics of virtual spaces.
Additionally, with newly developed HD driver units, the MDR-MV1 headphones are optimized for an open-back acoustic structure that can reproduce a rich low frequency range, even in the open housing. Engineered for comfort, these headphones are intentionally light weight with soft suede ear pad material and a secure fitting that provides superior comfort and breathability for extended hours of use.
