I've been playing the clarinet for six years and I'm currently in hgh school. For a secondary instrument I chose the Bass Clarinet. I love the deep, rich sound this instrument gets along with its overall ease of playing. Initially, when I started playing the Bass Clarinet I started on Rico Reeds. My sound wasn't what it could have been. As a result, when my private instructor suggested Vandoren Bass Clarinet reeds, I didn't hesitate since I play Vandoren V12's on my B-Flat Clarinet. These Vandoren Bass Clarinet reeds increased the sound quality and the output of the sound I could get from the instrument. Therefore, I recommend these reeds to anyone who really wants to sound good on the Bass Clarinet!

This brand of reeds is by far the best I've ever played on. They produce a deep, warm sound. These reeds play when you need them in any range.

I have been using these reeds since I began playing in middle school. I use them for all of my instruments (primary bass clarinet, clarinet, and tenor saxophone) and I could not be happier with the quality and tone of these reeds. I have bought different brands before, but none compared. I have a rich, dark tone, and I have great flexibility on my instrument. My friend had been using Rico's and didn't sound her best, but when I lent her a Vandoren, her tone improved considerably. They seem to hold up and not become soft too quickly, and though they are a bit more expensive than some other brands, they are worth it. I recommend these reeds often to friends and classmates.

I'm not sure what everyone else is seeing here. I tried these reeds the first day I got them, and they were fine. Then, after a few days, they were working HORRIBLY. They are very inconsistent. If you look at the reed in the light, the heart looks like a 'V'. I can't see what is so special about these reeds.
