Yesterday I'd receive a number 1.5C mouthpiece. I had played a Bach equal model, but when I put this one in my mouth, the rim shape was perfect beside the other, supposed is better, but nooooo. The CNC machine make this model stable from one to another. If I need to recommend one mouthpiece, surely will be this kind of series. I don't know a pro playing with a Bach today. WWBW mouthpieces are better. ?unbelievable!
In my short time playing the trumpet, I have tried some 20 mouthpieces, mostly after researching online reviews. I prefer a rich symphonic tone but also like to reach the normal high range consistently. The Brasswind 1 1/2C has been a very pleasant surprise, having a tone richer than the Schilke 14, Yamaha 14B4, or similar good Bach, Laskey & Marcinkiewicz models -- fairly similar to the Stork Vacchiano 2C -- but easily extends my high range and stamina beyond that available with any of these other mouthpieces. It has a comfortable rim and is easy to play in all registers, besides costing less than nearly anything else out there. It articulates cleanly, slurs smoothly, and allows easy dynamic shading. Very highly recommended!
I'd not played in 5 or 6 years. When I decided to start up again, I didn't want to spend a fortune on a horn and mouthpiece, so I read a review on the WWBW brand mouthpiece and decided to give it a shot with the beginner horn I purchased it. I went with the 3C as that's what I played on back in my high school and college days. After a few months of playing I decided to step up to a pro level horn. The one I got came with an actual Bach 3C. Here's where the review begins... WOW! I don't know what it is about this WWBW 3C but it does feel better then the Bach version that came with my new horn. Notes slot just right. Deep, lush sound that doesn't distort at high volumes. I went back and forth with the 2 brands and each time I felt the WWBW version just felt better. Brovo, guys!
