The AKG SolidTube is a condenser microphone that is the result of a half century of experience in the design of world-class transducers. It has ruggedness, high SPL capability, extremely low self-noise, and provides the warmth and depth of sound only achieved in a tube mic. Its large-diaphragm condenser transducer has been specifically tuned for this mic, and the spacious casing creates an air cavity for the capsule that is a perfect environment for the audio properties of the diaphragm.
