OVERVIEW

Designed for superior intonation.

Denis Wick aluminum mutes are all handmade using hand-spun, high quality aluminum. Unlike machine-spun aluminum, the hand spinning process creates a higher density that is extra responsive and provides these mutes with their signature sound. The shape creates perfect intonation and helps increase projection. Also available with Copper and Brass bottom options.

Denis Wick offers a range of trombone mutes to suit all players and playing situations. British-made, Denis Wick mutes are acclaimed worldwide for their sound quality and intonation in all dynamic ranges, plus superb workmanship.

Comments about Denis Wick DW5505 Series Trombone Straight Mute:

Been playing trombone for 10 years (now a college student) and I've started using straight mutes when I was in high school, which is probably when all brass instrumentalists start using mutes. I've never owned a straight mute until now since I need it and will need it for future pieces/solos. I have used Bach mutes when it was provided to me in school. Bach mutes are quite expensive, but aside from price, I would definitely recommend this mute over the Bach. Great quality for a great price.

Absolutely love the sound on it! :D
