Comments about Fender Champion 100 Guitar Combo Amp:

I am not an advanced or very good guitar player I play for fun and as a hobby. I love the old Twangy style guitar like Duane Eddy and old style Rockabilly. I ran my Guild x 175 B through this amp. In my humble opinion. the clean amp is great for this type of music. You can always then dial in some reverb, delay or whatever sound you like. I have not yet messed with the dirty channel as I am not too much into that. I am also trying to learn some basic blues guitar so maybe I will be using the dirty channel some at a later date. Only negative is I do get some hiss from the amp every so often. Tried changing guitar cables and it went away. Later it came back. The hiss is not to loud but it can be annoying for those that like everything perfect. I am guessing that if you are jamming with your buddies the sound of the other instruments would drown it out anyway. I used to have the old Fender Frontman 212r. This one seems to have a cleaner sound and while it can be very loud it is slightly quieter when the volume knob is set at 2 thus allowing me to play in my music room without terrifying the wife. The older Frontman would blow you away at level 2 setting and was a little to loud for practicing in my music room.Still one of the best buys out there for the price. I still have yet to use the foot switch.
