This special PDP 20th Anniversary snare drum celebrates the two decades that have passed since Drum Workshop first founded Pacific Drums and Percussion, now better known as PDP by DW. The brand began as a way to offer DW-quality construction at a more affordable price, but in the years since, PDP has developed its own reputation for quality drums and hardware, made with high-end materials and attention to detail. This snare drum is no exception. It will be available only during PDP's 20th year.
This 20th anniversary PDP snare is made with a 10-ply maple shell in 14x6.5” size. The shells feature a matte texture with a glossy stripe down the middle, both in jet black. This dark scheme contrasts beautifully with the antique bronze hardware, which gives the snare a look that’s both elegant and muscular. The deep black and antique bronze are attractive without being too flashy, meaning this snare will look great with a huge variety of kits. And after 20 years of popularity, PDP can be trusted to make a snare drum that also sounds great and lasts for many years to come.
