Comments about Allora Paris Series Professional Baritone Saxophone:
I purchased the Allora Paris 808 baritone sax as I wanted to compare my old sax to a better level sax. I was really impressed. The sax balanced well on the strap so I was not "lifting" it into playing position, key action precise, and has great intonation - especially in high register. I found I was able to nail the high notes easily - and for the first time, started being able to play the altissimo register on bari. This may sound strange "altissimo? high notes?" on a bari, but I play jazz, ballads, classical etc. Not just the usual low "blap, blap" a baritone is many times relegated to in bands... Anyway, this sax would fill the needs of all but the most critical baritone player. In younger years, I did have a Yamaha YBS-62, and I would compare this sax very favorably with how I remember the Yamaha - at less than 1/2 price.
